Conference Description:

The International Conference on Waste Management and Technology (ICWMT), initiated by the Basel Convention Regional Centre for Asia and the Pacific, has served as a premier platform since 2005. Over the past two decades, ICWMT has been committed to advancing innovative concepts in waste management, promoting technological breakthroughs, and enhancing policy coordination to support sustainable development worldwide.

The ICWMT 21, hosted by Tsinghua University and organized by the Basel Convention Regional Centre for Asia and the Pacific, will be held in Shanghai,China from June 27 to 30, 2026. With a focus on promoting the development of “Zero-waste City” and addressing challenges in solid waste and new pollutants management, the event will include plenary sessions, 50 sessions, technical tours, and an exhibition. We cordially invite experts and scholars from around the world to join this significant gathering and contribute to the exchange of knowledge and solutions.
