Description
In this short course participants are introduced to the legal framework and the new climate targets that have been set in the most intensive sectors of the economy aiming to make the climate, energy and transport policies fit for reducing greenhouse gas emissions by the adoption of integrated rules on the promotion of energy from renewable sources. This course will help the participants to gain a clear understanding of the new provisions adopted in the transport sector i.e. FuelEU Maritime Regulation and ReFuelEU Aviation Regulation for sustainable maritime and air transport, the EU Emissions Trading System (EU/UK ETS) and the International response (IMO) in order to regulate the greenhouse gas emissions in the most energy intensive sectors.
